Paris Fashion week 2016 - Raf Simons

Raf Simon’s first show since his Dior departure marked the 20th anniversary of his label. With the venue full to the ‘rafters’ and no seats in the venue taken every guest was to experience the collection standing in their fashionable shoes. All guests were given a  pre show brochures detailing the thinking and inspiration behind the collection; The Breakfast Club, American Youth… Raf’s show was a strong take on his “nightmare movie” inspiration - the show was full of colourful varsity sweaters, coats and long sleeves with an exaggerated oversize take… a strong play on proportion was key with ripped and distressed edges….
